The Portal references delighted me, including the voice and humor—brilliantly executed. Unfortunately, I encountered the weakest game mastering so far across my 370 rooms: after a strong start we got stuck, hints didn’t help, and in the end it turned out that a malfunction had boxes blocked and the GM didn’t notice. It was only explained later by a different GM; we still paid full price. The room

We were only in Hamburg for the weekend, and as Jigsaw fans it had to be the horror room. Our game master Lena was fantastic—totally convincing and perfectly matched to the mood. The room is excellently designed, with lots of nods to the movies; we got startled multiple times. We made it out with just under two minutes to spare—what a finale! We’ll definitely be back when we’re in Hamburg.

I've played quite a few escape rooms across Europe and have been to TeamBreakout Hamburg three times. Cabin in the Woods clearly makes my top 3: strong story, fantastic set design, and exactly the right atmosphere—fully immersive. The team was super friendly every time. Highly recommended!

Mega experience! We played “They Stole a Million” as a pair; it was tough but doable. We didn’t quite make it, but we were very close. The team was extremely attentive and helped as soon as we got stuck, and everything was available in English. Absolutely worth it, also as a bad-weather activity in Hamburg.

Our first escape room—and certainly not the last. Katrin looked after us wonderfully, explained everything, and made sure we felt comfortable. We played in English; the only issue was that the audio in the intro video was a bit unclear in places. The room itself is full of little surprises. Clear recommendation!

Played it before I worked there: interesting story and a set design that still holds up despite being from 2016. Puzzles are mostly combination locks and mechanics—not quite my favorite, but entertaining. Not horror, doable with two people, ideally 3–4. Hints came at just the right time, plus a few nice fun facts and a great intro. Some parts could use an update, but overall it holds up well.

Extremely lovingly and creatively designed; we had a really great time. The new puzzles and the size of the room positively surprised us. For us, the best escape room in Hamburg. With six people, no one got bored; pros would rather tackle it as a group of three or four.

2141: The World's Future

Very original and more suited to experienced players. The puzzles demand speed; the execution is good, though the theme ends up feeling a bit uneven. Note for insiders: The second half strongly resembles White Mission in Budapest—90 minutes there, 60 here—but the first part is new. The room apparently used to go by the name Lost in White. I had fun, but with some reservations.
