We are big escape-room fans and have played many rooms worldwide; Tesla’s Mystery was our first together in Munich. Fun, with some puzzles you don’t see everywhere, and a strong atmosphere that transports you somewhere else for an hour. The service was excellent. Overall 8/10, customer service 10/10, interior 8/10, difficulty medium.

The website is gorgeous but illogical to use, which makes booking frustrating. In the game itself, though, it all comes together: a coherent introduction and a well-rounded finale, good equipment, and puzzles that fit the theme. The atmosphere is strong—not ultra scary, but very well executed. Service is top-notch, the room feels high-quality, and I found the difficulty to be medium.

The four of us got out in under 40 minutes without a single hint, even though we’re not pros. Apparently we solved some tasks differently; even the game master was briefly surprised. It was still fun, the puzzles were varied, though a bit more content would have been nice time-wise. Price-wise it’s on the higher end, but we’d be happy to come back for another room.

Played with two boys (10 and 11) and we had a ton of fun. The two of them solved the sometimes tricky puzzles almost without help; when needed, there were clear hints. The game master explained the purpose and backstory in a friendly, easy-to-understand way. The kids want to do the next room right away.

'The Revenge of Tutankhamun' was a great choice: no portable boxes, no combination locks, everything logically structured, and a terrific tomb-chamber atmosphere. We'll be back on our next trip to Munich.
