About the escape room

"I am no longer master of my own time," you hear people say. The months pass much faster than they used to, a day only has 10 hours now, and even before the summer has begun, the trees are losing their leaves. Nobody knows the origin of this development and so people rush through life - always on guard, not to miss anything. By chance one day, you come across a secret entrance to underground chambers. On a dusty door, which was locked so well that it should probably never be opened again, you read the inscription "To the Master of Time" and curiosity grips you... Can you break into the chambers of the lost lord, slow down time, and return it to people? Play with up to 12 people in two teams against each other. Who will solve the secret of the Master of Time first?

Brief assessment

For anyone who loves atmosphere: a moody time-travel room on a museum ship with a grand opening and lovely music. Ideal for smaller teams who enjoy clever, more accessible puzzles in a strong setting.

Overview of artificial intelligence

AIFrequently praised are the set design, the music, and an exceptional start that involves the whole team. The rooms are on the smaller side, which can feel cramped in large groups; fewer players are recommended. The puzzles are fair and rather easy; many are out in 30–40 minutes, with bonus tasks extending the experience. Value for money is judged variably, with enthusiasts wishing for more challenge.
WeaknessesLimited space can feel crowded, especially with large teams. Difficulty and playtime are on the low side for experts. Some found the price high and the puzzles somewhat unspectacular.
StrengthsDense atmosphere with loving craftsmanship and well-executed reveals. Strong, team-oriented opening and cleanly guided logic. Optional bonus goals keep fast groups busy.
SecurityNo safety issues mentioned; the briefing feels clear and professional. Due to the smaller rooms, small groups often feel more comfortable.
Level of fearNot scary, more exciting and told like a fairytale. Well suited for children and families who want to puzzle together.
Actors' gameNo sign of live acting; the story runs via audio and staging. The game masters are repeatedly praised as very friendly, attentive, and supportive.
Quality of riddlesLogical, varied, and rather easy to moderate, with an impressive team start. Little searching, clear clues, and a fair flow. Optional side tasks offer scalable success.
PlotYou enter the chambers of the Master of Time and try to repair the flow of time, without veering into spoiler territory. The story stays coherent and culminates in a rewarding finale.
Difficulty levelEasy to medium, perfect for beginners, families, and casual players. Experienced teams may be through quickly and benefit from the bonus tasks.

We played “Master of Time” as a group of four on the Cap San Diego and thought it was fantastic. An escape room on a museum ship just has something special, and our gamemaster Michel was excellent. Everyone on site was very friendly; we had a lot of fun and are happy to recommend it. The rooms and puzzles are very well done.

Small but nice, with varied tasks. It gets a bit cramped in places, so it’s better to play in a small group. Otherwise, a well-rounded experience.

The introduction drew us in completely — we’ve rarely had such a shared aha moment. The atmosphere is great, the music fits, and the finale feels really good. There were three of us, and that was exactly the right size.

Actually a good room, but compared to other hidden-adventure rooms I found it less convincing. Still solid and definitely playable.
