Curse under the Cathedral

We are in the year 1765. For some time, reports have been accumulating that people in the small town of Paderborn are disappearing without a trace. Among the population, whispers are becoming increasingly frequent about a curse that is said to have sprung from the mysterious catacombs of the cathedral. As the frightened population hardly dares to go out into the streets in the darkness, the worried bishop turns to the Vatican. Rome now commissions its best inspectors for occult criminal cases - you! Once you arrive in the town, the bishop warns you against entering the labyrinth of the catacombs alone. Fortunately, one of his missionaries from the South Seas has returned who is well versed in the cathedral. With his help, you manage to get deep into the catacombs. After a few passages and turnings, however, he suddenly disappears without a trace, even though he was only a few steps ahead of you. A strange melody sounds and at the end of the corridor you find a door. What lies beyond it? Can you still save him or has he also become a victim of the catacombs? Is there any truth to the rumors of the population? Can you escape the curse without the missionary?
