About the escape room
We are in Freiburg in the year 1679. Fribourg is French for the second time under King Louis XIV and thus the easternmost outpost against the Habsburg lands. King Louis therefore commissions his master fortress builder Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban to turn the city and Schlossberg into a fortress. Vauban is in Fribourg in 1679 and begins building the fortress. Centuries later, you will now find Vauban's old knapsack (rucksack) with many locked boxes and bags as well as a book with his notes from that time. These notes could contain clues to opening the locks - it seems that Vauban didn't just build a fortress here... Immerse yourself in Vauban's legacy and become part of Freiburg's history. Between the remains of old fortress walls and mysterious records, you will solve tricky puzzles, open locked boxes and uncover the secrets of the famous fortress builder. A thrilling outdoor escape experience for friends, families or teams who want to combine history, nature and a sense of adventure.
