AI Overview

AIMost praise the immersion, decor, and sound design, often with clear Harry-Potter vibes. The puzzles are seen as thematically fitting and varied, but for veterans sometimes too easy or over-guided. A highlight is the brief interaction with an actor, while tech and room temperature were off in isolated cases. Overall, enthusiasm prevails, though some call the experience too short/familiar.
WeaknessesFrequently mentioned are heavy guidance from the game master, few and/or too easy puzzles, and a rather short runtime. Occasional tech hiccups and noticeable warmth in the room diminished immersion.
StrengthsLovingly crafted sets with strong atmosphere, music, and lighting carry the story. Transitions feel seamless, the welcome and hosting are warm. Humor and small wow moments lighten the adventure.
SecurityBriefing and supervision are present and instill confidence; the GM steps in if needed. A technical fault and noticeable warmth were mentioned in isolated cases and should be better anticipated.
Level of fearNot scary in the horror sense—more adventurous-magical. Good for families and younger players.
Actors' gameThere’s a brief actor moment/through-the-wall interaction that many highlight as a fun extra. The on-site team feels engaged and gets the group energized.
Quality of riddlesThe tasks are logical, theme-aligned, and promote teamwork, mostly fairly solvable. Experienced players find them at times too simple or too sparse and occasionally fault a lack of coherence. Strong guidance can reduce the amount of puzzling.
PlotYou face the dark witch Calvaria, who seeks to seize the Ministry with the power of an Obscurus, and journey through a magical London. The trip is told linearly, with humorous moments and clear mission goals—without major spoilers.
Difficulty levelOverall moderate, beginner- and family-friendly. Highly experienced groups may find it somewhat familiar or too easy, especially with strong guidance.

From the very first step, we were completely transported into an imaginative world of magic: fantastic sets, lots of detail, cohesive music, and cleverly used effects. The puzzles are varied, logical, and tailored to the theme; the difficulty is demanding but never frustrating. Our team was warmly welcomed, the introduction was captivating, and you can feel the passion in the concept. A clear reco

Visually strong, with a nice interaction moment through the wall despite the lack of direct contact. Unfortunately, the game master guided us very frequently, leaving little room for solving things on our own. It was also uncomfortably warm, with the air conditioning barely noticeable. A central element was defective at the start and had to be repaired in the room, which broke the immersion. Despi

For us, the weakest room at Code Agency: very short, clearly too easy, and we were often basically told what to do. I found the audiobook elements unnecessary, especially since the voice read extremely slowly. The set is okay, but we were never in a room for long because there were simply too few puzzles. Overall disappointing and, unfortunately, boring.

Gorgeous sets, cohesive sound design, and just the right dash of magic—we were hooked right away. As a family of four, we had plenty to do without getting frustrated, and the live-acting moment really won us over.

Stylish room with a distinct HP vibe. The story draws you in, the decor feels remarkably real, and the sound is expertly balanced.

The London setting feels cinematic, and the transitions between rooms are great. A tech gimmick at the beginning hiccuped briefly; after that everything ran smoothly, and the team was super attentive.

There were three of us and we had a great time, especially thanks to the music and the lighting changes. Puzzles were logical, fair, and team-oriented—just the way I like it.

Visually great, but it was too short for me and held my hand too much. Hardly any searching, little real puzzling — it could have used more depth.

The three of us played—two adults and our son—and we had fun throughout. A few nice puzzles, a moderate level of challenge, and enough variety so no one gets left behind.

A pleasant, well-rounded experience with a clear story and a few clever aha moments. For avid players, though, it’s on the easier side—we would have liked to be given a bit more freedom.

Our 14th stop on the 2024 escape tour: another Harry Potter theme. It had a few strong moments, but overall it will feel familiar to seasoned players. The short live-acting interlude was a real highlight. Recommended with small reservations.
