Once upon a time, there was an unsuccessful puppeteer... for years he traveled around the country. But no matter how hard he tried, his show failed to thrill anyone and he could hardly make ends meet. One day, he came across a talking doll and persuaded it to travel with him. It brought the puppeteer fame and success! Everyone loved his attraction. Together they led a life of wealth and prosperity. The audience flocked to the puppeteer's house. But the doll had its own path. One night, she grabbed the earnings from the cash register and disappeared. The puppeteer never saw her again... But he didn't give up and made a doll himself, hoping that it would learn to speak - but it remained silent. His other attempts also failed, and out of desperation came madness. If his dolls couldn't thrill the masses, perhaps real people performing as dolls could. With this plan, he decided to stage his biggest show in the city of Bremen and began looking for new victims.
