About the escape room

In search of wealth and loot, you, a gang of thieves and con men, wind up in the city of Agrabah. Even as you cross the city limits, you're puzzled, because there's not much to show for the supposed wealth of Sultan Harun-Ar-Rashid. The fields outside the city lie fallow, the many beggars on the street do not raise your hopes for rich plunder. Only the opulent palace of the Sultan rises above the misery and appears in the light of the setting sun as if it were coated with pure gold. Rumor has it that no one can explain how the Sultan managed to acquire such wealth, and the mystery of his affluence always makes for conversation material in Agrabah. Under the pretext of tailoring the most expensive and splendid clothes in the Orient, you garner an audience with the Sultan, who is enchanted with the idea of being draped in the finest silk. You are asked to wait in the Sultan's chambers until he is ready to have his measurements taken. Thus, there is not much time left to search the room for valuable goods, and unravel the secret of Harun-Ar-Rashid's wealth.

Overview of artificial intelligence

AIGuests praise the detail-rich set design and quickly feel transported to Agrabah. Puzzles are logical, varied, and free of unnecessary distractions; most groups finish in about an hour. The game master intervenes sparingly and delivers spot-on hints, which keeps the flow. For younger kids it’s rather demanding; reading glasses can help with close-up tasks.
WeaknessesVery little real criticism in the reviews. Occasionally a slightly bumpy start, or too hard for kids around 10–11 without help. Close-up vision may be needed—bring glasses if necessary.
StrengthsVery cohesive decor with lots of attention to detail and a well-rounded mix of thinking, logic, and team tasks. Staff are friendly, attentive, and only help when needed.
SecurityBriefing and supervision feel solid, and the host tracks progress throughout. No safety issues mentioned in reviews.
Level of fearNot scary and hardly stressful—more fairytale and relaxed. Therefore family-friendly.
Actors' gameNo in-room acting, but the game master is described as very friendly, competent, and present. Hints are measured and arrive at the right time.
Quality of riddlesVaried, logical, and fairly clued, with clear connections instead of red herrings. Good aha moments and doable as a team in about 57–60 minutes.
PlotYou sneak into the Sultan’s chambers posing as tailors and try to uncover the secret of his riches. Fairytale Agrabah vibes, with no shock moments.
Difficulty levelMid-level difficulty; manageable for two, beginners can beat it with occasional hints. Younger children need support; reading glasses help with small details.

Nice flow and neat tricks, but a few very small details were tricky without reading glasses. Overall well-rounded and atmospheric, good for two players.

Really nice room; the puzzles hit the sweet spot between too easy and too hard. We had a few hiccups at the start, then it clicked and we were out after 57 minutes. Definitely worth it.

Played with two teens and everyone had fun. Not scary; focuses on teamwork and has two nice rooms. Barely made it out at the end—super satisfied.
