The Magic Lamp

So far, you have only heard about the wealthy Sultan Harun-Ar-Rashid, but now you want to convince yourself of the city's wealth. However, you, a gang of thieves and crooks, don't just want to look. Amidst such wealth and show, a missing gold bar or diamond would hardly be noticed. Past fallow fields and dry steppes, you make your way towards the city centre. From a distance, you can recognize the magnificent palace of the sultan, whose shimmering walls in the glow of the rising sun look as if they were made of gold. Upon your arrival in the city, however, not much of the alleged wealth of Agrabah is to be seen. Beggers on the street, sick-looking children playing on a solitary playground, and the citizens' cracked clay huts do not exactly invite you to linger. You talk to the residents, but no one can explain the fabulous wealth of the sultan. In a side alley, you come across a beggar who may be able to get you into the palace. You don't have much time left to search through his belongings and uncover the secret of Harun-Ar-Rashid's wealth.
