Wake-up Call of the Dead

Inspired by motifs after H.P. Lovecraft, Konstantin Karl Graf von Alberg-Ehrenstein stood in his life's prime with his wife and daughter. But then, fate changed its course. His wife died under mysterious circumstances while riding her horse. Shortly after, his daughter fell from a tree house while playing, getting tangled in a rope and strangling herself during the fall. Laid to rest next to her mother in the family crypt, the girl was supposed to find her peace. From that day on, the Count was scarcely seen. Neighbors reported strange noises at night, from growling to screaming. It didn't take long for rumors to circulate that the Count had gone mad, until the evening of 09.09.1999. That day, the Count was seen for the last time. The police suspected suicide despite the missing body. You are up-and-coming reporters on a big story. In the course of your research, you've discovered that neither the Countess nor the daughter's bodies are in the family crypt. And you have identified what appears to be a secret apartment of the Count in a back courtyard. This is something you now want to take a closer look at.
