The Magic Lamp

On your hunt for wealth and spoils you, a band of thieves and swindlers, find yourselves in the city of Agrabah. Already as you cross the city limits you’re surprised: there isn’t much to show for the supposed riches of Sultan Harun-Ar-Rashid. The fields outside the city lie fallow, the inhabitants look sickly, and the many beggars don’t fit the image of a prosperous town. Only the Sultan’s lavish palace rises above the misery, gleaming in the light of the setting sun as if sheathed in pure gold. Rumor has it that no one can explain how the Sultan came by such riches, and the mystery of his wealth is a favorite topic of conversation throughout Agrabah.
