An oriental journey begins On your hunt for riches and loot, you — a band of thieves and swindlers — find yourselves in the city of Agrabah. Even as you cross the city limits, you wonder why there is so little sign of the supposed wealth of Sultan Harun-Ar-Rashid. The fields outside the city lie fallow, the inhabitants look ill. The many beggars give no impression of a prosperous place. Only the Sultan’s lavish palace rises above the misery, gleaming in the light of the setting sun as if coated in pure gold. Rumor has it that no one can explain how the Sultan came by such wealth. The mystery of his fortune is a constant topic of conversation in Agrabah. Under the pretense of tailoring the most expensive and splendid garments of the Orient, you secure an audience with the Sultan, who is delighted by the idea of cloaking himself in the finest silk. You are asked to wait in the Sultan’s chambers until he is ready to be measured. That leaves little time to search the room for valuables and to uncover the secret behind Harun-Ar-Rashid’s riches.
