Dense mine atmosphere, challenging but fair puzzles, and smooth flow — Goldmine is great fun. If you're into an Outback setting with evacuation pressure, you're in the right place.

AI Overview

AIMost highlight the strong set design and authentic tunnel vibe. The puzzles are demanding, logical, and have good flow, with hardly any searching. Opinions differ on team size: 4+ is recommended, but very well-communicating duos can do it too. There was occasional criticism of monotonous visuals toward the end and a somewhat patronizing briefing.
WeaknessesSome felt unnecessarily warned by staff before the start, at times a bit lecturing. The 'at least four players' requirement doesn't convince everyone. A few found the theme a bit monotonous or unfinished toward the end.
StrengthsImpressive set; you're in the story right away. Puzzle quality and flow are top and feel fair. Hints are clear and verbal, and the hosts mostly come across as friendly.
SecurityNo notable issues regarding real safety in the reviews; the evacuation plan mainly creates narrative pressure. Briefing and assistance seem structured, tips were given verbally.
Level of fearMore tension than scare, with no horror elements mentioned. Suitable for older kids or teens with some experience; the time pressure can add a thrill.
Actors' gameGamemasters are mostly described as friendly and welcoming; hints were given verbally. One team experienced an unfortunate pre-game talk that discouraged playing.
Quality of riddlesCrisp, logical, and cleanly built, with no trickery — more puzzling than searching. The puzzle flow is often praised and feels fair. Good communication clearly helps.
PlotExplosion in an old gold mine, toxic gases, now get out by the plan — simple and effective. The story carries the experience without frills.
Difficulty levelClearly demanding, ideal for advanced players. Doable as a duo with strong communication, more comfortable with three to four; fair, but not for absolute beginners.

Another hit from Deadline Escape. I went there with three colleagues, all game masters. The set is immaculate and you’re immediately drawn into the story; the puzzles are logical and fun. Four people are ideal, but with very good communication it also works with two. We asked for hints once or twice; the GM even said we didn’t need them. The hints were given verbally. Mandy was friendly as always

In short: the room is good. We played on a weekday; the GM showed up 25 minutes before the start, even though we'd been asked to arrive 20 minutes early. Right at the door we were discouraged from playing because of the supposedly high difficulty, and afterwards we were considered unreasonable for playing anyway. The set design feels fairly uniform and a bit unfinished toward the end. The puzzles

One of my favorites! The room is on the more challenging side but never feels unfair or arbitrary. The atmosphere immediately transports you into a mineshaft. The highlights are the well-constructed puzzles and the consistent flow. For me, a must.

Top-notch set design, great immersion in the story, and warm hosting. Hints were given verbally and exactly at the right moment. With four people, it felt very well-rounded.

Amazing atmosphere—you really feel like you’re actually in the mine tunnel. The puzzle flow was smooth, nothing felt arbitrary, and we only needed a quick hint. An absolute recommendation for everyone who likes it challenging.

At the door they first said the room was "too hard", which was annoying. Inside, I found the theme a bit monotonous and the finale not quite cohesive; still, the puzzles were fair and easy enough to solve. I don't see why four people should be strictly required.

Puzzles instead of grind — right up my alley. Hardly any search tasks; instead, clean logic and rewarding aha moments, though the visuals are fairly uniformly dark. Overall, strong.

Very cool room for advanced players and pros. The focus is clearly on the puzzles; searching hardly plays a role, which is typical for this provider. That's exactly what makes solving them all the more satisfying.

There were two of us and we made it. Challenging but fair—you have to communicate clearly and get your heads in sync. One hint was enough; after that, everything flowed.
