Go if you want a tight horror story with strong set design and a menacing clown. Not super tricky, but very atmospheric and cinematically staged.

AI Overview

AIMost praise the atmosphere, sets, and the dense IT nod without it feeling like a copy. Puzzles are few and easy, which suits newcomers but can underwhelm experienced players. Acting is partly celebrated, partly described as too sparse; there were occasional reset/tech hiccups and the playtime felt short. Overall, recommendations prevail, mainly for immersion and the finale.
WeaknessesFew and very easy puzzles, sometimes with little depth. Occasional reset errors or broken elements, and for some the playtime is too short. The amount of actor interaction varies by run.
StrengthsExtremely detailed, immersive sets with clever space layout and a strong IT vibe. Story-driven flow with good effects and a finale that feels like cinema. A feast for Stephen King fans.
SecurityThere is a short briefing before the start, and procedures feel controlled. Despite jump scares it stays safe; rare reset slip-ups were mentioned without seeming dangerous.
Level of fearMore spooky than relentlessly scary, with jump scares and chase moments. Good for horror newcomers; reviews give no clear info for children.
Actors' gameThe clown is praised multiple times, with some explicitly highlighting the performance. At the same time, some report little interaction, which can lessen the scare depending on the group.
Quality of riddlesEasy, limited in number, and mostly well embedded in the story. Fair to solve even with adrenaline, but tinkerers miss challenge and variety. Occasional reliability issues due to elements not properly reset.
PlotYou return to Derry 27 years later, following a call for help, to end the nightmare in the sewers. The story clearly leans on IT, but plays out as its own, tightly staged horror chase.
Difficulty levelEasy to at most moderate, ideal for beginners and horror fans seeking atmosphere over puzzle-breaking. Groups with lots of experience will likely feel underchallenged.

Second visit to Code Agency and great anticipation for 'It's back!'. There's even a café now, a relaxed briefing at the table and then off down to the basement. The story sticks closely to the book/film, including Pennywise in the sewers; with five of us the scare factor was somewhat dampened—four would have been punchier. Very well-used, labyrinthine space, strong effects and a cool finale – only

Extremely immersive and nerve-racking experience that evokes the It vibe without blatantly copying it. You feel watched, clues are cleverly placed and ramp up the tension. Puzzles fit in logically; the whole thing is as entertaining as it is oppressive. The finale feels a bit silly, but the journey there is fantastic - an absolute recommendation for horror and King fans.

A few things were unfortunately defective, and the puzzles felt extremely easy. We finished with 30 minutes to spare and would have liked more to do; one scare moment fell flat because a door was unexpectedly open. The set design and use of space, however, are really good.

As fans of the films, this was a must. The setting is distinctive and memorable, and the acting really drew us in. The puzzles fit well and aren’t too hard, and the ending feels cinematic. The only downside: not everything had been properly reset, so you could peek into areas that weren’t up yet. Still, a clear recommendation to play.

Amazing atmosphere, instant Derry vibes. The clown was present without constantly popping up, and the finale really blew us away. Puzzles were on the easy side, but here it’s the staging that counts—and it’s strong.

I was really nervous at first; later it got better. When the clown came closer, my pulse shot up immediately. The puzzles were simple, but with the adrenaline, honestly just right.

Very, very simple puzzles, at times not very logical, and the story didn’t really come together for me. Not as scary as expected; fine as a beginner room, but advanced players are unlikely to be engaged by the atmosphere and simplicity.

Incredibly atmospheric room with insane attention to detail—you feel instantly transported to Derry. Even if you’re not a fan of “It,” the set grabs you and sticks in your mind. The puzzles are easy and leave room to fully savor the atmosphere. Clear recommendation.

At the beginning I was really frightened, later I calmed down—until the clown came closer again. The puzzles are easy, which suits jittery nerves. We had a lot of fun and the atmosphere was consistently strong; the clown assigned to our group was great.

Great set and cohesive sound; however, it was over quickly and the puzzles were simple. For a first horror room, though, it’s just right—you can practice getting scared without freezing up.

Beautiful set design, but very few and shallow puzzles. If there isn’t much to puzzle over, then please make up for it with plenty of acting — here the interaction was unfortunately limited, so it came across as more show than substance.

Very thoughtfully constructed, with narrow corridors and strong lighting design. The story carries well to the endpoint, which feels cinematic. I’d recommend it to fans of King right away.

Anyone who goes in here should know: this is barely an escape room; it’s more like a haunted-house attraction with a story. Set design, acting, and storytelling are the focus. I still really enjoyed it—perhaps also because I wasn’t expecting much.

Visually top-notch but thin on substance. Hardly any thinking required; one mechanism was acting up and we could see into an area that was still supposed to be closed. Points for atmosphere; otherwise more style than substance.

For anyone who’s unsure about horror, it’s a great entry point. The atmosphere is creepy but not disturbing, and you can take part without tensing up.
