AI Overview

AIGuests rave about the atmospheric setting of the old Hotel Terminus and the detail-obsessed staging, including the pre-show. Live acting creates closeness and immersion, at times even before you step inside. The puzzles are varied and well woven into the story, ramp up noticeably, but occasionally feel unclear; one or two mechanisms snag. The room is rather small and plays best with small groups; overall, a clear recommendation.
WeaknessesSome solutions don’t reveal themselves right away, and certain mechanics feel a bit fiddly. The room is compact; with too many people it gets cramped.
StrengthsAtmosphere, opening, and effects hit immediately; the set feels high-quality and coherent. The acting weaves in clues elegantly and sustains the tension. The music at the end puts a neat finishing touch.
SecurityGood briefing, clear procedures, and attentive supervision convey safety. Hints come appropriately to the situation, sometimes diegetically via the actors.
Level of fearMore mystical and suspenseful than truly scary, with no jump scares. Basically doable for younger players, depending on sensitivity.
Actors' gameThe performers stay consistently in character, interact charmingly, and deliver hints organically within the game. Leonore and Hugo are praised by name; this adds a lot to the immersion.
Quality of riddlesVaried, thematically well linked, with an appealing learning curve. Mostly fair, but occasionally not immediately transparent; the subtle tips help here. A few pieces of tech feel a bit stubborn, without completely stalling the flow.
PlotIn the old Hotel Terminus, a mysterious clock is ticking, and not every step leads where you expect. The story unfolds playfully and stays magically mysterious without heavy spoilers.
Difficulty levelMedium difficulty with an upward curve; experienced teams will enjoy it. Beginners get through well with hints, small groups have the advantage.

The pre-show fits the theme perfectly. Afterwards we went to Hotel Terminus, accompanied by the attendants Leonore and Hugo — the hotel is special and doesn’t always take you where you expect. Everything is lovingly detailed, the puzzles are varied and get increasingly tricky, and hints come in different ways. The interaction with the actors is top-notch, Hugo is a blast, and the music at the end

Very cohesive room with a strong intro and great atmosphere. The rooms are lovingly designed; the puzzles fit the story, even if not every solution is immediately obvious. One or two mechanisms felt a bit clunky, but overall it was really fun.

Top atmosphere—the start in front of the hotel with live acting pulled us right in. The puzzles build up nicely, and the finale with music gave us goosebumps. For me, one of the best rooms in the area.

Very nice room with a great host and actor—as always in Dorsten. The room is rather small, so it’s better not to come with too many people. Considerably more puzzle-focused than other rooms on site.

We met the actor already before the entrance; he consistently stayed in character. Together we went into the hotel—the venerable atmosphere was epic, and the puzzles were strong. A clear recommendation from me.

Nice but small room—felt cozy with four of us. More puzzle-heavy than action-packed, which I liked. Old-hotel vibes are on point.

The set design is phenomenal and everything fits the story. Two puzzles were a bit cryptic for us, and one mechanism jammed, but overall it was a lot of fun.

Atmosphere was strong, tech a bit finicky—we had to wait briefly for something to trigger. Acting was great, but it felt a bit too cramped for my taste. Overall, okay.
