A living legend In his active days as a commissioner, Erwin Schmitt was the German Sherlock Holmes. Not only in Bayreuth, but across all of Germany the expertise of this exceptional investigator was in demand. Unsolvable criminal cases —worthy of an episode of Tatort— could be solved and the perpetrators put behind bars. Yet even the commissioner is haunted by a number of unsolved cases that he couldn’t close before his well-earned retirement. Officially, those cases were handed over to his successors. Acting on his own To this day, years after his retirement, the four most difficult cases remain unsolved. Naturally, rumors swirl around these cases, each more wild and unlikely than the last. After retiring, Commissioner Schmitt continued to work on the unsolved murders on his own. The former commissioner does not trust the amateurs at the police headquarters and refuses any cooperation with the authorities. Your mission As a dedicated team of young investigators, you have now been assigned to a task force by the Upper Franconia Police Chief. To follow up on your suspicions, your investigative team manages to lure the commissioner out of his apartment for an hour and search it for clues.
