About the escape room
An old vault, a forgotten cellar and an abandoned train station platform: Perhaps you could have guessed that something hidden had been slumbering deep beneath the train station for decades. Possibly the precious secret was extremely well guarded. There would certainly be good reasons for that: If the indications of the presumed treasure prove to be true, history would have to be rewritten. And some museums around the world could mothball their best exhibits. Do you still dare to try to uncover the mystery of The Hidden Chamber? Then prepare yourself. Whoever is brave enough to dive into the catacombs of the train station, will hardly believe their senses at times. And if your bravery actually will be rewarded, is anything but certain.

Cinematic adventure beneath the station: phenomenal set, gripping opening, and a legendary door moment. If you love immersion, expect goosebumps instead of a combo-lock fest.

AI Overview

AIMost praise the extremely cohesive, in-character introduction that doesn’t eat into game time, and top-tier set design. Puzzles feel more like believable in-world tasks than classic brainteasers, which many enjoy, though some find them too easy. Gamemasters are described as attentive and spot-on with hinting. Highlights include effects, mechanics, and a memorable aha moment at a door.
WeaknessesSome find the introduction too long. Puzzles tend to be lighter and less classical, so hardcore logic fans may miss some bite. If you’re after pure puzzle density, this isn’t the primary draw.
StrengthsAtmosphere, production design, and sound mesh perfectly to create a strong expedition vibe. The storytelling carries from the first moment through the finale, with finely dosed hints. Mechanics and effects deliver genuine wow moments.
SecurityThe safety briefing is atmospherically embedded and the staff keep everything in view; the introduction doesn’t count toward game time. Restrooms are available at the station, some with a fee.
Level of fearNot a horror shocker—more adventurous and intense. Darkness and effects can feel hefty briefly, but overall it’s well tolerated for sensitive players with company.
Actors' gameGamemasters stay in character, weave safety-relevant info into the setting, and deliver hints at exactly the right moment. The hosting is repeatedly highlighted as outstanding and very attentive.
Quality of riddlesFewer locks, more believable tasks and discovery moments, cleanly anchored in the theme. Fairly guided and readable—more flow than frustration. A bit easy for puzzle pros, ideal for mixed teams.
PlotYou descend into the catacombs of a station, follow traces and mechanisms, and pursue a well-kept secret. The story stays present and feeds into a strong, cinematic experience—without unnecessary distractions.
Difficulty levelLeaning easy to medium, making it great for newcomers and mixed groups. Experienced teams get immersion over brain-burn, but won’t be bored thanks to the staging.

First room in Bad Salzuflen, and for me the best of the three. Excellent introduction, an outstanding game master who provided hints with just the right dosage. Great mechanisms and effects, absolutely recommendable and deservedly award-winning.

Fantastic introduction, excellent hosting, and no break in immersion whatsoever. The briefing was done entirely in character and didn’t count toward the game time. For me, it’s one of the most thematically cohesive sets I’ve seen in Germany.

Great mechanisms instead of combination locks, smooth flow, fantastic sound design. You really feel like you're on a mission in the train station catacombs. The hinting was spot on.

Strong expedition vibes with sand under our shoes and a door scene we were still raving about days later. Puzzles feel more organic than classic — a perfect fit here. Absolutely recommended!

Onboarded into character from the start, with even the safety briefing fitting the story. The set design and props are impressive; there are fewer classic puzzles, but instead plausible, in-flow tasks. Right up my alley.

Not my favorite room of the company, but the set is great and very authentic. The introduction dragged on for my taste, and the puzzles were rather easy. Still, I had fun—the props are flawless.

We played the room today and were fully immersed already during Sophie’s introduction. Important: The introduction does not count toward the game time. In total, about 70 minutes of experience with a strong atmosphere and varied, well-crafted puzzles.

Started and plunged straight into the catacombs, geared up and sent on a mission. Story, sound, smell, light — everything pulled us in. The clues fit the narrative, and a movie-poster-style photo made for a strong finale.

Our 11th stop on the tour and one of my favorite Indiana Jones–style rooms. Smoke, sand, and effects make the setting come alive; the story carries all the way through. A must for fans!

Visually stunning and extremely authentic, but the introduction was too long for me and the challenges were often too easy. If you’re into tough brainteasers, you might feel underchallenged here. Still had fun, though.

The opening, the design, and the huge door moment have been seared into my memory. I've rarely been so in the flow while playing; everything is cohesively embedded—a dream of a gaming experience, with no real flaws.
