As you enter the professor's study, you find, to your disappointment, that the desk is empty. However, you can see a piece of paper from a distance - a note that the doctor seems to have left behind. Some remarks have been scribbled hastily on it. The handwriting is scrawly and hard to read, the inkwell is still open next to it. Everything looks as if the professor has left the room in a hurry - and only a short time ago. Although you don't usually rummage through other people's possessions, this page exerts a strange fascination on you. To your surprise, you find that the note actually seems intended for you. For a moment, you stare blankly at the paper until it seeps into your consciousness: Dr. Jones has gone searching again. But you won't be fobbed off with such a casual apology - not this time!
